Sevington Museum
Our Year 6's study the Victorians as part of their History Curriculum. They have a whole day trip to Sevington which is a Victorian Museum. The children experience a real-life Victorian School day. They will be candle-making, sewing and doing the three R's, as well as experiencing a Victorian playtime.

The girls wear aprons and woollen shawls and the boys wear waistcoats and caps. So that the children experience as real a day as possible, they eat a Victorian style lunch, consisiting of a chunk of bread and cheese and an apple, all wrapped up in brown paper. The children are able to buy Victorian items from the authentic shop, so their £2 is turned into 8 Victorian pence.
